Broomcorn trials are active at Langford, Bristol.

Aminu's previous work includes life cycle modelling for European food supply chains and Minviro XYCLE projects. ORE is now accepting commercial LCA+ enquiries while Gasol moves towards its pilot decisions.

01 Project experience.

EU Horizon ENOUGH

At London South Bank University, Aminu worked on the European programme addressing greenhouse gas emissions across food chains through to 2050.

02 Completed project work.

Minviro XYCLE modelling

Aminu, in collaboration with Minviro, completed unpaid modelling projects covering a pizza supply chain, ingredients and cold chain simulations. This work forms part of ORE’s practical LCA experience.

03 Published in 2023.

Wheat flour research

Springer's Journal of Food Measurement and Characterisation published his paper on storage conditions and the flow properties of wheat flours.

04 Contribution in 2024.

Norwegian food sector research

Aminu contributed to a poster on greenhouse gas emissions in the Norwegian food sector at KU Leuven in Belgium in 2024.

Agronomy

Agronomy and precision compost broomcorn trials are active at Langford, Bristol. Aminu reports higher yield and lower carbon intensity in the early results.

Techno economic and life cycle comparison

ORE's comparison of broomcorn, wheat straw and corn stover is complete and will form part of the future technical pack.

Technical modelling

Minviro is ORE's technical partner for life cycle modelling through Minviro XYCLE.

Bioeconomy advisory

Aminu works as a freelance consultant with LEC Partners in the United States, part of a network of more than 150 bioeconomy experts.

Accelerator programmes

ORE's programme history includes Carbon13, Vestd with HelpBnk, Birmingham's Climate Innovation Platform and the NatWest Accelerator. A full health check was completed through the National Climate Tech Accelerator, a joint programme between Sustainable Ventures in London and Barclays Eagle Labs.

Workspace and advisory support

Sustainable Ventures and NatWest Accelerator provide workspace and advisory support. Barclays Eagle Labs is also part of ORE's support network.

ORE was shortlisted for UKRI's Meet the Buyer Event, where it presented its innovation to AstraZeneca, and was also shortlisted as an innovator at the University of Cambridge Institute for Manufacturing Open Innovation Forum in 2024.

At Innovate UK Darlington, ORE shared its proposition in connection with EU Horizon calls HORIZON-CL4-2027-01-MAT-PROD-06 and HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-CIRCBIO-07.
