Aminu published research on wheat flour storage and flow properties in the Journal of Food Measurement and Characterisation (2023), biomass and waste handling in the Journal of Bulk Solids Handling (2011), and a manually operated double face meat mincer in the Journal of Science, Engineering and Technology (2003).

His conference papers addressed biomass characterisation at Bulk Solid Europe in Glasgow (2010) and irregular particle storage and handling in Berlin (2012). He presented biomass TEA at ANAGRAM in Australia (2020) and biomass confinement and handling at the Sustainable Food Future Conference in Australia (2021).

Reports cover biomass nesting behaviour at Greenwich (2009), wheat straw TEA at Newcastle with the New South Wales Department of Primary Industries (2020), and LSBU investigations into Tempmate logger validation (2025) and refrigerator camera, temperature and humidity sensor performance (2026).

Aminu contributed to a poster on Norwegian food sector GHG emissions at KU Leuven in Belgium (2024).
